Jennifer Garner has a way of making things everything adorable – even making dinner. On Instagram, she gushed about her favorite cookbook Modern comfort food. It was her weekend boost – and she read it like a novel before she started cooking.
“Everything here is EXACTLY what you want to cook and exactly what you want to eat right now,” Garner said before giving us an episode of the Pretend Cooking Show she does for the gram. She prepared Ina’s Crispy Chicken with Lemon Orzo – and brought in a surprise guest.
Jennifer walks through the recipe via video while Ina virtually looks over her shoulder, giving her tips and advice along the way. And as any good fangirl would, while Jennifer waits for the chicken to finish cooking, she finishes the chocolate Oreo ice cream recipe she picked up from the book – to show the results to Ina. But that’s not all about her cooking trophies – Jennifer clearly can’t get enough of this book, as she also pulls out the frozen Paloma she made with Ina’s recipe. And there’s a lot more to get out of this book – 85 recipes in all!
